Dr Wilson Tay & Dr Yoon Kam Hon

Dr Wilson Tay 

 

Dr. Tay is a Consultant Pain Specialist and Anaesthesiologist. He graduated from the National University of Singapore and was awarded Masters of Medicine (Anesthesiology) in 2009.

After completing his specialist training, he pursued a multi-disciplinary chronic pain clinical fellowship programme at St. Joseph Health Care London in London, Ontario, Canada in 2012.   Upon completing his fellowship programme, Dr. Tay consulted at the Pain Management Centre and Department of Anaesthesiology, Singapore General Hospital.

Dr. Tay currently operates his own private practice at Farrer Park Medical Centre. He is also a Visiting Consultant at Pain Management Centre, Singapore General Hospital.

 

Dr. Tay has a special interest in pain management and intervention. He has extensive experience in managing and treating various chronic pain conditions such as neck/back pain, headache, abdominal/pelvic pain and cancer pain. He is skilled in performing ultrasound-guided chronic pain interventions using high frequency sound waves, to avoid exposing patients to radiation; compared to traditional fluoroscopic techniques.

He has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and is frequently invited to speak at local and oversea conferences on pain-related topics. He is also actively involved in teaching and conducting hands-on chronic pain intervention workshops.

 

 

Dr Yoon Kam Hon

 

Dr. Yoon Kam Hon is the director of El Shaddai Arthritis and Rheumatism Specialist Medical Centre, which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of autoimmune conditions and bone, joint, and tendon-related diseases. With the help of his team of dedicated nurses, he assists about 600 patients every month with the goal to alleviate their pain and effectively manage their conditions so they
can get back to their lifestyle as soon as possible.


Dr. Yoon graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree as well as his Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine. In May 2001, he was accredited as internal medicine specialist and as a rheumatology specialist in 2002. He has been practicing for more than 15 years and is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.


Prior to joining El Shaddai Arthritis and Rheumatism Specialist Medical Centre, Dr. Yoon served at Alexandra Hospital and at the Department of Medicine, National University of Singapore as a visiting rheumatologist registrar. To date, he also serves as a consultant rheumatologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Changi General Hospital, and Arthritis and Rheumatism Specialist Medical Centre.
